Margaret Shearman

Margaret Shearman is an actor, director, producer, and writer, and founder of both Pivot Theatre and DebuTheatre (Pivot’s youth branch for ages 18 to 30). Her 30 years in theatre started when she joined the White Rock Players, then Langley Players (Langley), Vagabond Players (New Westminster), and Peninsula Productions (White Rock) before becoming a key member of Surrey Little Theatre. She has worked in almost every role in the theatre, including costumes, set decoration, props, tech and concession. Margaret believes that community theatre belongs to everyone, including anyone who is marginalized, in need of employable skills, low income, or in need of a safer place to create and learn to become their true selves.
