First performed in 1996, The Vagina Monologues explores women's experiences with sex, love, abuse, and identity through a series of humorous, poignant, and powerful monologues, celebrating female sexuality and challenging taboos. It features a variety of voices sharing intimate stories, covering everything from pleasure and shame to rape and empowerment, using the body part as a lens to discuss broader social issues.
