Pivot Holds its First Yard Sale

Despite the rain, the fundraiser at the Newton Cultural Centre raised over $500

Pivot Theatre held its first yard sale on Saturday, August 7th. Spirits were high in spite of the morning downpour, and we saw a large number of shoppers. In all, the sale raised over $500, and we were able to donate $50.00 to FRAFCA (the Fraser Regional Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association).

Our deepest thanks go out to our incredible, unsinkable volunteers: Makayla Leonard, Grace Shearman, Spencer Shearman, Angelica Sauve, Lyn Verra-Lay, Cindy Atkinson, Ilene Toth, Tesla Lively, Heaven Lively, and Kayt Roth. Our thanks also goes out to the Arts Council of Surrey, who graciously allowed us to use their lawn at the Newton Cultural Centre (13530 72 Ave). Thank you to Carol, Amanda and Francesa!
