Pivot will be Presenting Kim Carney's Play this Coming February
Pivot Theatre is looking for a stage manager for our February show, Kim Carney's Moonglow.
The synopsis: Moonglow is the story of Maxine, a feisty, bitter Alzheimer’s patient who doesn’t want to move into a nursing facility. But when she meets Joe, a widower who shares her love for dance, her outlook begins to change. Although the two clash when lucid, their hazy memories overlap, and they begin an affair that rejuvenates and fulfills them. But can these lovers – played simultaneously by an elderly twosome and a young, vivacious couple – stay together despite their families’ wishes and their fading vitality?
All rehearsals and the production will take place at Bethany-Newton United Church (14853 60 Ave, Surrey). Rehearsals will be three times a week starting in November, and run dates are February 15 to 24, 2024.
Please apply to pivottheatre20@gmail.com if interested, along with your resume and a short cover letter detailing your interest in the project. We are also open to working with new stage managers, who would be assigned a mentor to guide them through the process. Please note that Pivot Theatre offers an honorarium of $500 for stage managers, and that all Pivot shows are non-Equity productions.
